| Dartmouth Regatta 2003 - 11 September 2003 |
Dartmouth Regatta 2003 took place this year at the end of August as usual. On this occasion two French couples were hosted by a Dartmouth twinning association family. On arrival the were able to see the Red Arrows perform from a vantage point on Jawbones hill the UK version of France's Patrouille. The next three days they were to see sailing and rowing on the river and the many varied attractions like a Harrier jump jet and helicopter displays. Some of the more English type events included bungee launching inthe fair, the super market trolley grand prix, the Kon-Tiki raft race, a childrens crab fishing contest and many more.
The return on a calm sea to France on the "Mont Saint Michel" was a time for these four people to remember all the good times. |

| Dartmouth Gets Broadband - 28 July 2003 |
Dartmouth businesses and home users will soon benefit from faster internet access when Broadband hits Dartmouth within the next few months. Users will experience data transfer that is 10 times faster than a conventional modem connection and it doesn't tie up your telephone line. It's a great step forward! The Dartmouth / Courseulles Twinning Association web designer, Royston Bartholomew is certainly excited. "Broadband will allow every local business which uses the internet to operate more efficiently, simply due to the faster connection speeds. Home users will also notice a difference, especially with more media-rich web sites. Gone will be the days when you go to make a cup of tea while the web site loads up". |
